penoy had her japanese buffet treat last night when achie treated the family to dad's for her birthday.

as usual, heaven nanaman ako ~ california maki, shrimp and kani tempura, chawan mushi, gyoza, etc, etc, etc.

saraaaaaaap.

i really miss blogging. it's the only thing that takes my workstress off of me.

i miss being able to access my blog in the office and just type away. i miss being able to document in an instant any funny experience, any thought that comes up, any moment that i'd like to remember.... anything and everything.

so how did i celebrate my birthday this year? definitely not on a beach... but it was memorable just the same...

april 15
as a birthday gift for myself, we went to in my womb for our 4D ~ penoy's show time. we waited 4 hours for it! but it was all worth it. nakakatuwa panoorin si penoy and her antics. tuwang tuwa si ron, pati na rin si mama (who agreed to come with us to see her very first apo). i'd take a peek at my husband once in a while and it is such a treat to see him na sobrang amazed and tuwang tuwa kay penoy.

penoy was shy at first. she covered her face with both hands. when she eventually put them down, she kept on tilting her head upward naman so hindi namin makita face niya. when she straightened up, tumalikod naman! when the session was almost over, nagpakitang gilas naman siya. ang good girl niya dahil she was showing her face, she opened her eyes for a second, she also kept on lifting her feet para makita sa ultrasound. and my.... ang haba ng paa niya!

we therefor conclude, penoy has her daddy's lips and mommy's cheeks. in short ~ ang cute ng baby namin!!! hehehe


we got 6 more pictures as bonus (other than the 5 na kasama sa package na kinuha namin) dahil tuwang tuwa yung doctor sa mga images na nakuha kay penoy. she even gave one to mama. we'll be getting the dvd today so we're pretty excited!

april 17
double baby shower with my cousin, ate dots, who is scheduled to give birth anytime soon. ate joy and charlene organized it... kasama buong family. it was such a joyful event to the family kasi dalawa kami na preggy right now. ate dots is giving birth to bo peep. cute noh? girl din kasi, so we're having 2 girls sa family! wooooooh!

most of penoy's stuff came from that shower so laki ng pasasalamat namin sa titos, titas and cousins. her tub, diapers, lampins, bottles, bibs, etc.

we love it!

i am now [insert latest weight here]. o, kala niyo ilalagay ko talaga weight ko? deins noh. hahaha. i'm really huge now... just see for yourself. =) goodluck to me when i give birth! waaaaah.

i'm still not craving for anything. just the usual ~ spaghetti, pizza, burgers... read: those fatty fastfood.

we just enrolled to rome kanapi's lamaze classes and will start on april 19. the classes will run for 5 saturdays. in short, hindi na kami makakalabas for 5 saturdays. pffft. but i'm pretty much looking forward to the classes. ron really wanted to take them kasi gusto niyang pumasok sa delivery room when i give birth. gudlak naman, diba? kung hindi siya mahimatay sa dami ng dugong makikita niya, baka naman mahimatay siya sa reaction ko while giving birth!

penoy is really active nowadays. she kicks harder and more frequent. minsan she's swimming, minsan naman, she's just reading a book. sometimes, she's twiddling her thumbs or fiddling with the kakapiranggot na hair she has ~ waiting for her moment. and... when she's bored, she pushes my bellybutton out! nagiging outie kasi ako. hahahaha!

i can almost tell her schedule now. she's awake as early as 4am! she'll dance a bit at around 5:30am. then, mapapagod and will stay quiet... and move again when it's my lunch time (9-ish). she'll be most active (as in do somersaults and double backflips) when i'm lying down in bed and about to sleep. her show starts at around 8pm ~ performance level talaga minsan... especially when her daddy is not around. nahihiya ata magpakitang gilas kay ron. but she does make her presence known when ron asks her to... pero mejo pahinhin effect.

it is weird seeing my tummy move around like that. but at the same time it is soooo amazing!

she's also moving this very moment. i think she'd like to blog too. yeah.. i think she'll be just like her mommy ~ mahilig magsurf at magblog!

we bought penoy to "hacienda de cristal" in zambales 4 weeks ago and to laiya, batangas a week after that. i think she enjoyed it. ang likot kasi niya after... parang nagaaral magsnorkel. haha! i really hope she grows up to love and enjoy the beach. i want to go snorkelling with her... just like what papa and i used to do. we used to spend a couple of hours in the middle of the sea, lost in our own underwater world. i hope she learns to appreciate the beauty of the waters.

i love it now that i get to travel. unfortunately, baka pagbawalan nanaman ako soon since i'll be on my last trimester na a couple of weeks from now. sana hindi pa ako pagbawalan because i have a teambuilding trip to cavite soon. i want to gooooo!

oh, april 15 is a big day, btw. we'll be having our 4D taken in inmywomb. we'll get to see penoy again. woohoo! exciting!

and what about my birthday this year? i always spend my birthday on the beach every year. this year may be different. i don't have a definite plan yet, but i don't think i'll be having a celebration of some sort. boooooooooooo. i hate it... but, hey, there's always a next year.

i finally got my team back. they're not the original tincredibles though. but... they seem to be promising *fingers crossed*.

when i got back from a month's bedrest, i didn't have my own team. i'd work more on reports and admin stuff. it was easier than having to manage a team, but i must admit, namiss ko ang magkaroon ng mga "anak".

let's see. for this batch, i have my 'right hand'. i also have a couple of pasaways. there will always be someone with an SA violation. there will also always be the quiet one. i can say that this is a challenging batch ~ but not as challenging as the original one, i hope!

honestly, i am looking forward to developing them to be outstanding, yes, outstanding agents (sige, above average nalang!).  i guess my target this year is to have one (or two) of them promoted. hay, i wish!

i am able to blog, finally! it's been what, 458 years since my last entry? i miiiiiiss blogging.

tonight is the incubus concert. pffft. great timing, right? as much as i want to go go go, i don't want to risk getting in the middle of the mosh pit as i always end up being in one in rock concerts ~ not good.

i also missed the hot air balloon festival in clark... can't travel. another pffft....

enough about you. let's talk about me. =P

i am now 5 months into my pregancy, 23 weeks to be exact. i'm feeling better compared to my 1st trimester. i don't get too tired easily, i don't get too sleepy often, i don't get depressed all the time. i am hot-headed and impatient though... but what's new, right?

let me introduce to you our baby. we call her penoy. yes, it's a GIRL! who would have thought that with the changes i'm having and the clues my body is giving out (darker skin all over - ew, unblooming-ness recently, being tamad to fix myself, etc). and why penoy? that's because of the linea negra on my tummy ~ just like the line on a penoy to differentiate it from a balut. hehe.

we found this out feb. 29. ron was with me when i went thru the ultrasound (complete with camera to take some unflattering shots of me being examined ~ oh yeah!). when dr. reyles announced that penoy is a girl, ron beamed like a sun on a hot summer day! haha! he was ecstatic that he is having a little princess. i, on the other, am of course happy too... but my initial reaction was, "are you sure, doctor? can you check again? isn't that a penis? what about my body signs? etc). but after the initial shock, i was elated. hey, having a little girl would be cute too! i just hope i don't get to dress her up and make her look like a boy! wahahaha!

after the doctor's checkup, we went to the mall to check out the baby stuff. we have picked out the colors baby blue, mint green, and yellow as the baby colors. we'd like a celestial theme for her stuff as well. hay, so adorable. =) i can't wait to actually buy these stuff! ron and i are still deliberating though, whether to get a wooden crib or a playpen for our precious penoy. the playpens nowadays are so cute! but the cribs, they're adorable too!

i started feeling penoy move 2 weeks ago. ack, weird feeling. it's like having an alien move in your stomach. ok, that's an exaggeration. but still, i found it not at all comfortable. nonetheless, it was a welcome feeling and a relief. at least now, i know that she is alert, alive, awake, enthusiastic. =) she is usually active in the morning ~ around 5:30am. a potential call center agent? i think not! maybe a doctor, an executive in an airline company or a samurai (we've been watching house and grey's anatomy, the loop, and samurai x recently).
